Dan George

Physiotherapist, Sports Conditioning and Pilates Teacher

Dan graduated with his BSc in Sports Conditioning, Injury Rehabilitation and massage in 2015. This degree led him to become an integral member of the therapy team that kept Welsh professional rugby players in top condition for their gruelling schedule. Although Dan worked in professional sports, his varied skill-set meant he successfully treated and rehabilitated members of the Welsh government to treat their injuries and improve their work posture.

To build on his foundational skills of hands-on manual therapy and exercise prescription, Dan completed his Master’s in physiotherapy bringing him to Southwest London. He worked within NHS hospitals and private practices which gave him valuable experience treating a diverse range of patients with acute, chronic and postoperative conditions.

With a passion for learning, Dan completed his PGCE in International Education while living abroad which developed both his communication and listening skills. These experiences and skills have enhanced his approach with his patients. Rest assured that Dan will listen to your story, effectively diagnose your issue and will educate on why it happened and how to get better.

Outside of the clinic, Dan is a keen rugby fan and has a good range of personal experience with injuries. He enjoys keeping fit and active through the gym so he can justify what he eats. Having lived in China for a few years Dan is the perfect person to practice your mandarin or quiz him on the awesome Chinese dishes that he cooks up!

Q&A

Some interesting insights from Dan

Being able to help people resolve their pain and return to the activities they enjoy.

During my rugby career I encountered multiple physiotherapists and sports therapists who helped me to get through injuries and rehab from operations. However, my biggest role model was a friend’s mother who worked in both the neurological and musculoskeletal fields of physiotherapy. Being able to shadow her on various occasions, I got to witness how her caring nature, committed attitude and communication skills would help calm, treat and motivate patients. Those experiences have helped to shape my approach to my own patients and practice.

Wish Wales Day. Everyone would wish that Wales would win a rugby game and we’d celebrate the loss together
