Who We Help
What is Vulvodynia?
Vulvodynia is when you experience ongoing pain or discomfort around the vulval area where there isn’t a clear underlying medical cause. Symptoms include burning, stinging, irritation or a raw sensation. These can significantly interfere with daily activities such as sitting, physical activity, or intimacy.
Importantly, vulvodynia is a genuine physical condition. The pain is real and can have a profound impact on both daily function and emotional wellbeing. It is not psychological or imagined.
How We Support Vulvodynia Management
- Identifying potential triggers and contributing factors
- Guidance on pain-relief strategies, including topical management where appropriate
- Pelvic floor physiotherapy and techniques to reduce muscle tension
- Support to address emotional wellbeing and rebuild sexual confidence
