Biography

Tracey is a specialist Women’s Health Physiotherapist and treats a range of women’s health conditions including urinary incontinence, pelvic floor dysfunction, lower back pain, pelvic pain and more.

She is passionate about Women’s Health and helping women to navigate the often-challenging transition back to an active lifestyle and the sports they love following childbirth. She is particularly skilled in connecting a sporting injury with an historic childbirth or pregnancy injury. Tracey carries out functional pelvic floor assessments and treats a range of women’s health conditions including: ante-natal and post-natal, for pelvic floor function and dysfunction, treatment of abdominal wall separation (diastasis), following childbirth, labour preparation, pelvic floor rehabilitation, urinary and faecal incontinence, pelvic pain including vaginismus/bladder pain syndrome, recovery following gynaecological surgery, pelvic organ prolapse including specialist service for fittings of pessaries, sacroiliac joint pain and lower back pain.

Tracey qualified as a Physiotherapist from Brunel University in 2008, following a career as a professional rower, representing Great Britain in U23s and winning a Gold medal for England at the Commonwealth Games. She also achieved a Silver medal in the England’s Strongest Woman competition. Tracey’s passion for sporting excellence has also been a focus for her career, which has seen her working with elite athletes including professional rugby players, rowers, cyclists, sprinters, footballers, CrossFit athletes and Olympic weight lifters.

Tracey’s passion is in developing programmes to help people return to fitness and the sports they love, whether that’s running, rowing, rugby, CrossFit or just every day activities.

What is the most rewarding thing about your role?
Seeing people improve and reaching their goals, I think I get as happy / relieved / excited as they do when things go in the right direction 🙂 being able to help others along their journey to get better is just an amazing feeling
“Sunshine day” somewhere in the end Jan / beginning Feb when it is grey & dark – somehow get the weather gods to give us 1 day of sunshine & we can all enjoy it outside without having to work
you can never control what any other person does or says, but you can control your own response / action.
Am I only allowed to choose 1?! Japan, Canada, Patagonia are all high on my list at the moment
