Who We Help
Athletes & Active Individuals
Whether you’re a dedicated athlete, passionate gym-goer or you just like to get your body moving when you can, we believe that elite level care shouldn’t just be reserved for the professional athletes. We’re here to help whether you’re injured, want to smash those personal bests or just want to learn how to train and recover smarter.
We have the latest technology, including Force Plate and Gauges, to specifically measure variations in muscle load and force production which highly correlates with injury risk and a loss of performance.
The injuries we can sustain as athletes and active individuals can be an annoying, niggling injury that just won’t go away or long standing stiffness in our joints and stretching just isn’t helping. Regardless of the cause, our team is here to help determine why these pains arose and how to stop them coming back again.
Each sport and activity will have its own unique demands, so generic solutions just don’t cut it. That’s why we’ll take not only a patient-centred approach but a sport-centred approach as well. This will allow us to give you tailored rehabilitation, treatment or recovery support that is designed specifically with you and your activity in mind.
Depending on your needs, the following services may be beneficial:
- Physiotherapy and rehabilitation, ideal to establish EXACTLY what is the route cause of your ongoing injuries, biomechanical issues or postural concerns.
- Specific personal training, for guidance on managing training load, optimising performance through sport-specific conditioning and reducing injury risk.
- Sports massage, because recovery is just as, if not more, important than performance. This can help boost recovery by reducing muscle tension and soreness.
- Challenging Pilates (121 or classes), it is imperative that we have a strong core and stable base to push off from. Pilates targets these and has been shown to reduce injuries in long distance runners, tennis players or help with gardening. This is where Pilates steps in, to help build the necessary strength around our core muscles to enhance our performance and reduce our injury risk.
- Shockwave therapy, for persistent soft tissue pain (often tendon related) that hasn’t responded to standard treatment. (Please note: a physiotherapist or consultant will often refer you for this type of therapy).
Whether your goals are to return to your sport post-injury, chase a new PB, or simply to stay active and pain-free for life, we’re here to motivate you every step of the way.
