Bladder and Bowel Control Issues

Pelvic and bowel incontinence refers to the involuntary loss of urine or stool. This can commonly occur when: coughing, laughing, sneezing, or during physical activity.

 

Common signs include an urgent or frequent need to use the toilet, unexpected urine leakage, or reduced control over bowel motions. These symptoms can be linked with pelvic floor muscle weakness, nerve compression, pregnancy/childbirth or age-related changes.

Our physiotherapists will look at you as a whole to determine the best course of action to help you regain confidence and improve control over your bowel/bladder. This may involve:
