Who We Help
What is Vaginismus?
How We Can Support You
Vaginismus is very responsive to the right treatment. Our women’s health clinicians use a gentle, respectful, and progressive approach to care. Many women report sensations such as burning, stinging, or a feeling of resistance, often described as “hitting a wall.” It’s important to understand that this is a genuine physical response, and not something imagined. This can understandably be linked with feelings of anxiety or apprehension around penetration.
Your personalised plan may help you to:
- Gain a clear understanding of how your pelvic floor muscles are responding
- Learn gradual techniques to release tension and improve muscle control
- Access evidence-based treatments such as pelvic floor physiotherapy and guided rehabilitation exercises
- Rebuild comfort, confidence, and trust in your body within a safe, non-judgemental setting
