What is Vulvodynia?
Vulvodynia is when you experience ongoing pain or discomfort around the vulval area where there isn’t a clear underlying medical cause. Symptoms include burning, stinging, irritation or a raw sensation. These can significantly interfere with daily activities such as sitting, physical activity, or intimacy.
Importantly, vulvodynia is a genuine physical condition. The pain is real and can have a profound impact on both daily function and emotional wellbeing. It is not psychological or imagined.

Lize Nel has more than 15 years of experience, having qualified as a physiotherapist in 2006 in South Africa. She has worked in both the UK and South Africa in private practice, government health systems and with sport teams providing her with a wide breadth of exposure to different people and injuries.
