Shoulder pain may arise from the shoulder joint itself or from any of the many surrounding muscles, ligaments or tendons. Shoulder pain that comes from the joint usually worsens with activities or movement of your arm or shoulder. 

Depending on what your diagnosis is, your presentation can vary from not being able to move your arm at all to having full but painful movement.

If the ache or pain hasn’t cleared up in three days it generally requires treatment. We tend to let our aches and pains manifest for too long before seeking help, which causes other issues that require treatment too!
